Job description

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that all products manufactured by Fireking Baking Company are safe for consumption and are top quality. The position consists of verifying product safety, quality, weights, shapes, size, and reporting all deviations to management. The Primary function f this role is completing the pre- operational inspection. The schedule for this position is the following- Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM – 12:30pm.

Essential Functions:

  • Performing pre-op inspection before AM start up. Inspecting equipment for cleanliness and releasing facility for production.
  • Responsible for enforcing GMPs
  • Responsible for enforcing and adhering to company policy and procedures
  • Responsible for monitoring product shelf-life test, weight checks, scale verifications, thermometer verification, QA Holds, Raw Material Inspections and Finished Product Inspection.
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting all deviations to the line lead, line supervisor, QA Supervisor, Director of QA, or production management.
  • Assist the Quality Supervisor / Director of Quality with quality or food safety projects.
  • Monitors CCP’s to ensure the company’s HACCP program is being followed for food safety.
  • Ensures compliance with local and federal regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing facility.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Good reading and writing skills
  2. Bilingual preferred (English, Spanish, Portuguese)
  3. Must have good communication skills
  4. Available to work on different shift when needed
  5. Experience with pre-operational inspections.


  1. Annual training in GMP procedures, Safety, Food Safety, Allergens, HACCP, and Sanitation & Hygiene.
